8 Things to Buy for Autumn from H&M

8 things to buy for autumn from H&M

While I can’t claim autumn is my favourite season (blogger sacrilege, I know), I will confess to a certain fondness for some of the clothes that come with it. I love dark greens and camels, and knitwear is an all-year-round thing where I’m from, so I’m always happy for the opportunity to stock up on that, too!

Of course, one of the issues with autumn/winter clothing is that it tends to be so much more expensive than its spring/summer counterparts. Coats and boots cost much more than cotton dresses, and are investment purchases for most of us, which is why I’ve turned to good ol’ H&M for this autumn wardrobe update. I know a lot of people like to turn up their noses at it, but H&M is something of a guilty pleasure of mine, and while not every item will be a winner, I have a few things from there which have lasted for years, and always get compliments when I wear them. I have a feeling the floral skirt in the top left of the image might end up being one of those items: it has that super-full look I love, and claims to be made from a textured weave, which should keep it fairly crease-free.

Although the check pencil skirt might not look like much in this image, meanwhile, I have a feeling it will look better on, and this kind of fabric/colour just screams “autumn” to me – especially when paired with something like tan looks and a fitted sweater. Finally, I seem to buy a pair of H&M’s superstretch treggings every season or so: they fit well, and have a high-waist, which gives them a nice, retro feel: I predict that this dark green pair will be coming to a closet near me very soon!
