Five on Friday | Currently Coveting

This week’s Five on Friday has no real theme: it’s just a roundup of some random items that caught my eye this week. So, now I come to think of it, I guess it DOES have a theme: expect stripes, spots and a dash of green…

I know, I know – it’s yet another stripe dress, and it’s not like you’ve never seen one of THOSE here before, is it? This, however, is a particularly nice example of the striped pencil shape: I love the short sleeves, which could even allow you to wear it to work, if you wanted, while the tie-back detail will guarantee the right fit at the waist – which can be pretty hard to come by.

This dress is quite a bit shorter than I usually wear, but I can’t help but love it: that white floral lace is just so sweet, and it looks like the perfect dress to throw in your suitcase for a summer holiday.

My floral dress obsession is also still going strong, and this green pencil dress by ASOS is currently high on my hit list. This dress has a similar shape to the stripe dress at the top of the page, but the print is much more summery, so you’d be totally justified in buying them both, wouldn’t you?

I’m a big fan of wardrobe basics, but the problem with basics is that they can sometimes be a little… well, basic, really. This little Boden top, however, manages to combine a “basic” shape with a glitter spot print, which makes a bit more special, while still keeping it appropriately versatile.

Office On to Point Court Shoes

I’ve chosen to show you these shoes in khaki, but they come in a range of (mostly neutral) colours, and honestly, I’d happily buy them all, if I possibly could. I’ve been struggling to find plain, high-heeled court shoes lately (I know they seem like the kind of shoes you should be able to find absolutely everywhere, but what can I say: I can be pretty fussy, sometimes…), and these are the first ones I’ve found to check all the boxes. I’ll have a pair in every colour, please…
