If you thought we’d left the sequins and glitter far behind us during the party season of 2015, here’s Ted Baker to prove you wrong, with a pair of pink sequin pumps that will be more than capable of holding their own on the party circuit.
In addition to that super-shiny upper, these shoes have an equally shiny heel, which comes in at 4″ in height, making them a good height for walking/dancing/doing whatever you like in.
If you’re looking for something to wear with them, meanwhile, I absolutely love this dress:
To be fair, I like MOST of Ted Baker’s dresses, because this is one of those brands that can do very little wrong in my eyes, but I particularly like this one, as it’s dressy, without being too over-the-top. The shape is so perfect that I’d have loved it even in plain black, but the gold on the skirt dresses it up, and makes it a little more interesting.
I’m also a fan of this one:
This is the kind of dress that could sound modest to the point of frumpy on paper – the high neck, the low hem and the long sleeves all combine to create the kind of dress that doesn’t exactly scream “party time”… until you actually see it, of course, and realise that the bodycon shape and sparkly fabric has transformed it into something that still looks classy, but which is definitely party appropriate. I have a dress like this from Zara which I wore on New Year’s Eve a few years ago, and seeing this one has reminded me to try to take it out for another spin sometime soon: assuming I can find the appropriate occasion, of course, which is easier said than done in the middle of January! Anyone feel like throwing a party?
