CJG shoes, £90
CJG shoes is, of course, the Chloe Jade Green line, which is available at Topshop and, I’ve just discovered, also at Selfridges, which is where I discovered these ‘Buenos Aires’ sandals. These have just been reduced from £130 to £90, so it looks like I found them at just the right time, too!
There’s a lot going on with these shoes: the flowers on the ankles, the butterflies on the toe, the studs on the strap… Somehow, though, I think it still works: the pale pink and black colourway helps to tie everything together, and the end effect is much less “busy” than it might be on a more colourful shoe. I’ve been really impressed with the CJG shoes collection so far, and these are no exception: in fact, when I found them on the Selfridges website I assumed they were by a much more expensive brand, and was pleasantly surprised to discover they were actually quite affordable – it’s not often that happens!
What to wear with CJG shoes?
I’ve been loving pink and black combinations lately, so I took my cue from the shoes themselves for this outfit, and created a bit of a fantasy evening look:
Classic evening look with little black dress and CJG shoes:
♥ black dress ♥ silk opera coat ♥ black patent clutch ♥ pale pink lipgloss ♥ Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette ♥ Lanvin choker
I say this is a “fantasy” look: the shoes may be reasonably priced, but the rest of this outfit would cost more than many of us spend on clothes in an entire year. The basic elements (black dress, sparkly necklace, clutch bag) should be easy enough to track down at a range of different price points, though: the little black dress never goes out of fashion!
I LOVE these shoes!! I hadn’t known about this brand before, but it’s one to look out for surely. I love the details on these shoes, the flowers, the butterflies and that lovely light blue sole. Just gorgeous!
Because of the colour scheme those look more like moths than butterflies to me. Yuck. Too bad because the flowers on the strap are adorable.
That is an uber stylish look and I love the shoes!
