I know I’ve said it before, but I’m really loving metallic sandals right now, and can’t seem to get enough of single strap styles that are designed to create that “barely there” effect. If this continues, I’m definitely going to have to step up my pedicure routine so I can do them all justice!

These sandals are by Isabel Marant, and are notable for two things: the python effect leather, which is a subtle-but-effective way to make them stand out, and the little knotted bow on the toe. It’s the second detail that really drew me to these: I’m a fan of bows on shoes in general, and I really like the off-set design of these: they look like they’d be fabulous to look down upon when you were wearing them to some fabulous event or other!

What to wear with these shoes?

My Theresa have styled these with a smart black suit, but I think shoes like these were made to party:

I always feel a bit “cheaty” styling gold strappy evening sandals, because the truth is, they would really go with anything  – as they’re designed to. This Ted Baker dress, however, was just too pretty not to show you (Actually, if someone could just package up everything on the Ted Baker website right now and send it over to Shoeper Towers, that would be awesome…) so this is an outfit I created with a summer wedding, or similar occasion, in mind . I even found an almost matching iPhone case to go with it: it’s not exactly the same print, but it’s close enough not to matter, and at least you won’t a wedding invitation to have an excuse to use it!
