Pointed ballet flats, $57
There are two fashion trends I’m really looking forward to for this winter:
1. Full skirts
2. Pointed toes
As luck would have it, these just so happen to be two trends that work really well together: there’s just something about a full skirt that calls for a ladylike, pointed toe, and while it goes without saying that I’d personally prefer those toes to be attached to heels rather than flats, I’m not going to complain too much if they aren’t. As I’ve mentioned a few times (or more than a few times lately….), I’ve been wearing flats a little more often this summer, and I’ve been particularly enjoying wearing them with my collection of 50s-inspired dresses and flared skirts. I think that as long as the skirt isn’t TOO long (I tend to avoid flats with “true” midi lengths), flats can work really well, and they’re an easy way to dress-down this style a little bit too.
These particular bow-front flats are from a website I haven’t come across before, so while I can say nothing about the quality, I CAN say that I love the shape, and I particularly love the Tiffany-blue upper, which such a fabulous colour, and one of my absolute favourites. I only wish there was more of this shade around! These also come in a bright pink, which I don’t like quite as much, but pink will be a big trend this winter, so I guess I better get used to seeing it!
I adore them! They remind me so much of those Carvela stilettos that I missed out on, so I might have to get these instead. :p
Love both trends, love those shoes
I am not as big a fan of the pointy toe as you all seem to be. These are nice, but I don’t know that I’d go out and get them immediately. I do love the colour.
Oh I love them! And I really want to buy a full skirt! 🙂
