Jonak sandals, £78.99
I really need a pair of sandals like these in my life. I won’t go so far as to say that EVERY woman should own a pair, because honestly, we’re all so different I don’t think there IS such a thing as a style of shoe that would work for absolutely everyone. I know these would definitely work for me, however, because I used to own a fairly similar pair a few years ago, and I wore them to death – literally. When they finally fell apart I meant to replace them, but I somehow never got around to it, which is a shame, because as far as I’m concerned, strappy gold sandals are the “nude pumps” of evening-wear: i.e. I can wear them with everything, and never, ever get bored with them.
These Jonak sandals are particularly lovely, as they remind me of a pair of old-style (not to be confused with old-fashioned…) dancing shoes. They’re glamorous in an understated kind of way: no platform, no glitter, no bows… just a beautiful pair of shoes, at an equally attractive price-point. This does come pretty close to a perfect metallic strappy sandal, esp bc it’s silvery-gold, walkable heel and classic but dressy style.
