I’m tempted to describe these as “bridal shoes”, because that’s where my mind normally goes when faced with a pair of gold or ivory satin shoes, but then again, I’m also rather tempted to buy them and wear them everywhere, so let’s just go with “evening shoes” instead, hmm?
These are the kind of shoes that are just so gorgeous they have me cursing the fact that I don’t have much need for satin shoes in my life right now. (Not that it’s stopped me before, mind you…) The obvious selling point, and the reason I love them so very much, is that fold-over detail on the toe. It’s not quite a bow, but it’s every bit as pretty as one, and maybe just a little bit more sophisticated. In fact, “sophisticated” is a good word to describe these shoes overall: from the lovely, shimmery shade of the satin, to the little “fireball” diamanté detail on each toe, they have an elegant, luxurious feel to them, which makes the £52 price tag come as a pleasant surprise.
