SHOES: Prada aubergine peep toes
SAVED: Tuesday, December 4th, 2012
Despite the fact that they’re peep toes, I actually wasn’t too worried at the prospect of saving these shoes during the winter, because they’re one of the few pairs of peep toes I own which I’m happy to wear with tights. It’s not something I do often, but I like the colour of these ones with the shoes, so it’s a combination I’ve worn a few times now.
As it happens, it’s the colour of these shoes, rather than the open toe, which always makes them difficult to save. Don’t get me wrong: I really love the colour, but it’s a dark aubergine shade which always strikes me as more of a winter colour than a summer one (hence why these get worn with tights!), and which can be a little tricky to match with the rest of my wardrobe.
When I do wear them, though, these shoes are always worth the effort: I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again – they’re definitely the most comfortable heels I own, and are a real pleasure to wear. I wore them on Tuesday, in a gap between one lot of snow melting and the next one arriving, and it’s a good thing I did: that second lot of snow has decided to stick around, making me just a little bit nervous about how I’ll manage to save the rest of my shoes!
