Of all of the various embellishments which tend to find themselves attached to the fronts of shoes, I think pom poms have to be one of the hardest to wear. They never fail to attract my attention, but they also never fail to make me fear the “clown effect” I just know I’d achieve if I were to try and wear them. And clowns are scary, no?
Thankfully, however, these shoes are anything but “clown-like”, and not remotely scary. They’re also far tamer than the kind of thing we’ve come to expect from Alexander McQueen, with only the slight curve to the stiletto heel hinting at the edgier side of the brand. The baby pink uppers and large pom poms, meanwhile, are very playful, and also very feminine.
What do you think?
