Tabitha Simmons ‘Frida’ Necktie Silk Checker Pumps, $995
At first glance, I assumed these shoes were covered in tiny polka dots, and I prepared to go crazy over them. Upon closer inspection, however (and honestly, the clue was in the title, here), I realised the pattern is actually a mix of checks and dots, such as you’d find on a men’s necktie – all warpped up in a very feminine shoe! I’m no less crazy about them because of that, though: these have all of the whimsy of Tabitha Simmons usual style, a fabulous colour, and a beautiful, curvy heel. I’ve never really been a big fan of menswear-inspired fashion, but if I had to wear necktie, this is definitely how I’d want to do it!
Unfortunately the price is just a little crazy too, at $995, so they’re going to have to remain strictly in the fantasy league for me: yikes!

That’s a lot of money for a shoe designer I’ve never heard of. But what fabulous shoes! Something a little different without being over the top.
