Shoe Save 79/105: Zara

Zara asymmetric pumps

SHOES: Zara asymmetric pumps
SAVED: Sunday, September 30th, 2012

So, I have to admit that after spending such a long time hunting these shoes down on eBay, I’ve been a little bit too scared to actually wear them, for fear of somehow ruining them!

This Sunday, though, I decided it was high time to take the plunge, so I wore them out to dinner – on cobbles, no less! (Er, we didn’t actually have dinner on the cobbles, obviously: it’s pretty hard to navigate the streets of Edinburgh without encountering at least a few of them, though!) As you can see, the heels did pick up a bit of mud, but it brushed off easily enough, and these were much more comfortable than I’d expected them to be: I’m not sure why I was expecting them to be uncomfortable, but I’m pleased to report that they weren’t at all, and now that I’ve worn them once, I’m sure they’ll go into the regular rotation – on dry days, at least!

As excited as I was to wear the shoes for the first time, though, I think I’m even more excited by the fact that this post brings my “shoes to be saved” total under 30 for the first time in this challenge: 29 pairs to go!
