STUDIO TMLS blue ‘Diamante’ platform shoes

blue platform shoes daffodil style STUDIO TMLS blue Diamante platform shoes

Speaking of Christian Louboutin’s ‘Daffodil’ pumps (which I kind of was earlier today), these are new in at Sarenza this week, and instantly reminded me of the blue ‘Watresnake’ Daffs: they have the same colour, and the same platform shape, no?

For that reason, I was seriously tempted by these: as some of you know, I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of blue pumps for a while now, and the Daffodil shape has definitely won my heart. I’m not quite sure if I could pull these off, though, and I also worry about the platform dating them very quickly. The black version which is also available may be a little more wearable, however, and at £105, they’re certainly cheaper than the designer version, so if you’re looking for some Loubie-lookalikes (I think that may just be my new favourite phrase), look no further!

You can click here to buy these from Sarenza.

Topshop has really been on a roll recently when it comes to shoes: in fact, every new product drop seems to include at least one pair that goes straight onto my Wish List, and given that  they have new shoes in stock every few days, that’s a LOT of seriously covetable shoes!

My favourites this week (so far, at least) are these ‘Saunter’ platforms, which come in red and black suede, with a leather cage effect at the heel. These have the huge platform which has been seen everywhere this year, ever since Louboutin’s ‘Lady Daffodil’ came out, and it’s matched by a 5.5″ stiletto heel:

I have to admit, I’ve never been much of a fan of either Alexa Chung or shoes with animal faces on them, but for those of you who are, here’s Alexa wearing a pair of Charlotte Olympia’s ‘Kitty’ heels to the British Fashion Awards, where she won the British Style Award for the second year running

Alexa has been photographed in these shoes quite a few times now (and also in the flat version), so she’s clearly a fan. Are you, though? These are £455, and you can click here to buy them if you are.

Cinti ‘Skyvo’ black pumps with tulle ribbon

I’m having difficulty knowing exactly how to describe these shoes to you. See, they’re basically a pair of standard, suede pumps, but then they have this kind of net… you know what? It’s going to be much easier to just show you, isn’t it?

black suede pumps Cinti Skyvo black pumps with tulle ribbonThere you go.

It’s an interesting effect, and a fairly unusual one, too. I think it helps “pretty up” (Yes, it IS a phrase. Because I said so.) what would otherwise be an unremakable shoe, and gives it a much dressier feel. Then again, you could also argue that the netting around the heel makes it look a bit like it’s just been captured by a hunter. A shoe hunter. God, there should BE shoe hunters, shouldn’t there? I could be one! In addition to my shoeperhero duties, obviously. But I digress…

These are by Cinti and they’re £89 at Spartoo. What do you think of them?

Shoe Save # 60/79: Cold Feet

shoeperwomans shoe challenge Shoe Save # 60/79: Cold Feet

    SHOES: Tan Barratts pumps
    SAVED: Monday, November 28th, 2011

It was really too cold for these shoes yesterday, but they’re one of the pairs I wore frequently all summer without bothering to photograph, so, even although they’re as boring (but useful!) as it gets, I suspect I’d regret not taking the opportunity to save them while I can! Also, I, er, won a pair of shoes on eBay yesterday, so it’s not like my Challenge is getting any easier, here: technically the figure in the title of this post should be 60/80 but 60/79 sounds so much more reasonable somehow that I refuse to update it until they’re actually in my hands. Or on my feet, as the case may be.

I’m also grabbing a last opportunity to wear jeans before Dressember starts: I don’t think I’ll miss them, much, though – I’m going through one of these “need new jeans, can’t find any I like” phases at the moment, so I’m hardly ever wearing them – bring on the dresses!

Platform heel suede boots from New Look

Yes, it’s another pair of red suede boots. They seem to be popping up everywhere at the moment, without me even having to look for them, just as green suede shoes did all summer. And you know, if it wasn’t for the fear of looking like one of Santa’s elves (Red boots at Christmas time can be a tricky look to pull off!), I could very easily be tempted by these ones. They’re only £50, but they’re real suede, and I think they look a little more expensive than the price on the tag.

I also like the beige version, but as they’d be even less practical at this time of year than the red, I know which ones I’d be going for!

These are from New Look, but are only available online, and at selected stores: click here to buy them.

ASOS PEONY Patent Bow Platform Court Shoe

These shoes have left me feeling a bit conflicted. You see, I really like the shape of them, and I love the little bow on the toe, which manages to be just a little bit different from all of the other bows-on-toes we see. But bright white shoes are always a little off-putting to me: I can’t help but think that I’d feel a bit like a cartoon character in them, and the other available colourway isn’t my favourite either:

orange shoes with pink heels ASOS PEONY Patent Bow Platform Court ShoeIt’s an interesting combination, sure: in fact, I think this may be the first time I’ve seen orange, pink and blue, all in the same shoe. But as for wearing these, well, it would be easy enough to throw them on with a black dress, I guess, but I’ll be honest: I probably wouldn’t, which is a shame, because I do like the style.

What do you think of these? They’re £65, and you can click here to buy them at ASOS.

    Badgley Mischka pink ‘Babette’ sandals

Part of me thinks these shoes are really only suitable for bridesmaids. Another part of me, however, thinks, “Why should bridemaids get all the fun? And all the pretty shoes? You could easily throw these on with a little black dress, say, and no one need even mention the word “bridal”.” With that sorted out, then, I’ll just add that these are just as pretty in all of the other colours they’re available in, which include black, white, dark grey, and this “platinum” colour:
