christian louboutin vicky botta boots Friday Fix: Christian Louboutin Vicky Botta 120mm red boots

    Oh. My. GOD.

How much do I want  these boots, readers?

SO MUCH. So very, very much. I mean, I’m not saying I’d sell my soul for them or anything, because that would just be ridiculous, but… actually, you know what? I AM saying that. Can I interest anyone in a soul? It’s hardly used, one careful lady owner? Will trade for these Christian Louboutin Vicky Botta boots? Anyone?

OK, looks like I’ll just have to find $1,595 from somewhere. Fair enough. It’s good to have an aim in life, and I’ve just found mine. I’m a shoeperhero, after all: I can probably write them off as a business expense…

These are also available in grey, and buying them will make your life instantly better*. Click here to do it.

    * Not actually true. Spend responsibly, kids!

Orchid bow platform shoes from Dorothy Perkins

bow platform peep toes Orchid bow platform shoes from Dorothy Perkins

I really wish Dorothy Perkins had included a photo of these shoes from above, rather than just from the side because I have a feeling that bow would be right up my street. In fact, I actually think it looks like two bows, layered on top of each other, and as we all know, if there’s one thing better than a single bow on a shoe, it’s a double bow on a shoe, no?

Other than the bow, I like the deep raspberry colour of these, and I also like the cutout on the toe, which makes them just a little bit different from the usual bow-peep-toe. Only a little bit different, mind you: these aren’t going to be winning any prizes for originality, and if you’re looking for something “edgy” and “fashion forward”, well, you’re going to be disappointed.

If you’re looking for a pretty little shoe for only £40, though, you just might have found it. Click here to buy them, if so!

Shoe Save # 49/75: Next Polka Dot Bow Pumps

polka dot shoes1 Shoe Save # 49/75: Next Polka Dot Bow Pumps

WHAT: Next polka dot bow pumps
    WHEN: Thursday. September 29th, 2011
WITH: Red ASOS pencil skirt, Polka dot bow top, New Look

(Sorry about the blurriness of these photos, folks: I always struggle to get the focus right when I’m using the remote!)

As I mentioned earlier today, we’re currently enjoying some unseasonably warm weather here (yay!), so I thought I’d grab the opportunity to save my final pair of “summer” shoes! (I actually still have one pair of peep toes left – my black Lady Dragons – but although I have actually worn them several times since I got them, I think they’re one of the few pairs of peep toes I’ll be able to wear with tights, so I’m going to try that when it’s a bit cooler and get some photos then!)

I included these shoes in my “must be saved during Spring/Summer” list, purely because of the canvas upper:

It’s fine on a dry day, and actually perfect for a day like today, if it’s warm out but you don’t want to bare your toes, because the canvas is much more breathable than leather or plastic, but I don’t think they’d stand much of a chance with the typical winter weather, so I’m relieved the weather decided to play nice and give me another shoe-saving opportunity this week!

And that’s it for the summer shoes! Just in time, too: my boot collection will be coming out of storage tomorrow, and although I’m hoping it’ll be another week or so before I’ll actually have to wear them, at least I know the summer shoes are all “safe” before the winter sets in!

Some more photos under the jump…

Poetic Licence yellow ‘Eyeconic’ shoes with flowers

We’re having a bit of a heatwave here at the moment (and yes, you DID just read that right…) so as well as getting some last-minute wear out of my summer shoes, I thought I’d show you a summery style of shoe, too.

Actually, as these shoes have closed toes and leather uppers, they’d probably be just as suited to Autumn and Spring as they would be to summer – perhaps even more so – but the bright colours and flowers on the toe and heel give them a very sunny feel for whenever you want to wear them. They’re just a little on the twee side, of course, but if you wear them with something relatively simple, I’m sure you’ll be able to pull it off: and they’ll add a cheerful touch to anything you do choose to wear them with, which is always a bonus.

The good news is that they’re on sale, and are down to $88.20. The bad news is that there aren’t many sizes left, so if you want to see if yours is one of them, click here to buy them at Zappos.

Walter Steiger purple suede curved heel pumps

There’s really only one thing worth mentioning here, isn’t there?

Well, actually, no, that’s not quite fair: that vibrant purple suede is too beautiful not to comment on. But let’s face it: the colour isn’t going to be the main talking point with these shoes, because all eyes will be on that amazing curved heel.

I say “amazing”. Personally, I always think that shoes like this look like there’s something wrong with them… or as if the sheer weight of the person wearing them has forced them to buckle under the strain. That makes these not really viable as a “real life” purchase for me (even if they weren’t $750), but as something to look at? Hell, yes. I could look at them aaaalllll day. Or at least until I was distracted by something shiny at Kurt Geiger or Christian Louboutin, anyway.

    Ravel ‘Helen’ lace platform pumps

I think of shoes like these as “rocking horse platforms”. I’m sure you can see where I’m coming from with this, no? That sloping platform looks like it’s ready to rock (and possibly roll) at any second, and be the best! fun! ever!

Obviously shoes which “rock” in the literal sense of the word may not be exactly what you’re looking for: my experience with this kind of platform is that they can be a little harder to walk in than normal, (purely because there’s a little less of the sole in contact with the ground) but only a very little bit, and if you’re an expert in the fine art of walking in heels, then I’m sure you’ll have no problems at all

As for the rest of this shoe, well, they have lace-covered uppers trimmed with patent, which cuts away at each side, creating that little dip you see to the side. The heel is almost 6″, which is about as high as it gets (outside of the, um, speciality shoe brands), so, you know, be careful up there.

These are by Ravel, and they’re £60 at Spartoo: click here to buy them.

Shoe Deja Vu: Carvela ‘Glam’ Vs Chockers ‘Dorothy’

knockof carvelas Shoe Deja Vu: Carvela Glam Vs Chockers Dorothy

I’m sure you all remember Carvela’s ‘Glam’ platforms: not just because I showed you them just a few weeks ago, but because they’re definitely one of the more memorable of this year’s shoes, what with those sequinned uppers and shiny gold platforms!

if you do remember ‘Glam’, then I’m sure you’ll have instantly recognised the “inspiration” behind Chockers’ very similar ‘Dorothy’ platforms. These also have the sequins, the bow and the platform, but they come in a little cheaper at £35.

What do you think? Does the lower price make you more likely to try them? Does the copycat design bother you at all?
