The Shoes from the Shows: D&G Spring/Summer 2011 shoes

I was lukewarm about Prada’s Spring 2011 collection yesterday, but I have no reservations whatsoever about D&Gs: it’s love!

With the exception of a couple of pairs of rubber boots, these shoes are all variations on the same theme: brightly coloured uppers, huge raffia platforms and giant corsages on the ankles. Some styles have open toes and some have closed, but they’re all still super-summery, and instantly memorable. I even like the rubber boots, although a cork sole on a rain boot seems like one of the least logical combinations ever.

Take a look at the gallery and don’t forget to let me know what you think!

They’re all so beautiful, even the boots – oddly enough. Sigh. D&G never disappoint.
