moda in pelle voodoo boots Moda in Pelle ‘Voodo’ over the knee boots in purple and blackI know I’m currently obsessed with purple boots, but for those of you who don’t share that obsession, Moda in Pelle have thoughtfully provided these boots in black, too, in both suede and leather.

If I was rich, I’d want all three of these, but if I could only pick one, I’d go for the purple versions, which are the ones that instantly jumped out at me from the web page. These can be worn folded down, as shown in the picture, or turned up as over-the-knee boots. They’re £149 and you can click here to buy them from Moda in Pelle.

Blue suede-effect platform court shoes from Next

blue suede shoes Blue suede effect platform court shoes from NextAfter writing about those blue suede Carvela platforms earlier this week, I stumbled upon this much more budget-friendly version from Next. Can you believe these are only £24? I thought it was a typo at first glance, and while the price is a big clue that the uppers aren’t real suede, I still think these look fantastic for the price. They’d be an easy and inexpensive way to add a pair of show-stopping heels to your collection, and one of my favourite things about Next is that their shoes come in half-sizes, making it much easier to find the perfect fit.

I have a feeling these won’t be available for too long at that price, so if you love them, you might want to grab ‘em before they’re gone. Click here to visit the Next website.

ASOS ALPHAN Leather Multi Strap Ankle Boot

asos suede ankle boots ASOS ALPHAN Leather Multi Strap Ankle Boot

These boots somehow looked much better in the ASOS magazine than they do on the website itself: I have a feeling they’ll probably look better in real life too, but of course, there’s only one way to test that theory, and that way is going to cost you £110!

When I saw them in the magazine, I thought they were refreshingly different from most of the other boots out there. They contain three of my favourite shoe shades – navy, tan and pale pink – and I like the platform and the heel. Do I like them enough to spend that £110? Sadly, no, but if you do, you can click here to buy them from ASOS.

Want a free pair of shoes? What am I saying: of course you do!

Schuh are giving away one pair of shoes every hour today, and all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is post a link to the pair of shoes you’d choose from their site on their Facebook wall, with a brief explanation of why you think you deserve them. (You’ll have to ‘like’ the page first.) Simple, no?

My chosen shoes would be the pink Irregular Choice ‘Antique Rose’ shoes shown above: which would you choose?

    Shoe Challenge # 49: Unseasonal

nautical louboutin pumps2 Shoe Challenge # 49: Unseasonal

What: Christian Louboutin Jefferson Plato slingbacks
    When: Wednesday, September 29th, 2010
    Where: Working, errands
With: New Look bow cardigan, black treggings, enormous hair

When I started my Shoe Challenge, back in January, I always knew that there would come a point where my “use ‘em or lose ‘em” rule forced me to wear peep toes in freezing cold weather. As it turns out, that day was today: sorry, charity stores, but you’ll have to pry these shoes from my cold, dead feet.

Luckily for me, my feet aren’t actually cold (nor, indeed, dead) in these today, because it’s not too freezing outside, and my schedule doesn’t involve being out there for more than a couple of minutes at a time anyway, so I’m sure I’ll cope.

This is actually the third time I’ve worn these shoes since I bought them, and I’m happy to report that as well as being super-comfortable in spite of the 5.5″ heel, the black and cream colourway works with so many of my clothes that I can already tell these will be in constant rotation next summer.

The Shoes from the Shows: D&G Spring/Summer 2011 shoes

I was lukewarm about Prada’s Spring 2011 collection yesterday, but I have no reservations whatsoever about D&Gs: it’s love!

With the exception of a couple of pairs of rubber boots, these shoes are all variations on the same theme: brightly coloured uppers, huge raffia platforms and giant corsages on the ankles. Some styles have open toes and some have closed, but they’re all still super-summery, and instantly memorable. I even like the rubber boots, although a cork sole on a rain boot seems like one of the least logical combinations ever.

Take a look at the gallery and don’t forget to let me know what you think!

Black suede court wedge shoes from River Island

black suede court wedge shoes Black suede court wedge shoes from River IslandHalf stiletto, half wedge, this shoe can’t quite make up its mind what it wants to be – and I can’t make up my mind on whether I like it or not. On the plus side, this shoe has a striking silhouette, and the gold piping between platform and upper is a nice touch, helping to break up the solid line of the demi-wedge. Actually, I think I’ve made up my mind: I do like them after all. Do you, though? If you do, click here to buy a pair from River Island, where they’re £59.99.
