River Island cherry embellished platform sandals: inspired by Miu Miu?

I know it’s cherries rather than birds or cats, but every time I look at these shoes, I think of Miu Miu:

(Miu Miu)

Which I’m guessing is probably the whole point, really. They’re not the same shape, and they don’t have the same print, but there’s a definite degree of designer-inspiration going on there, which will make these a great buy for those of you who love (but can’t afford) Miu Miu’s current look. Those of you who hate it, meanwhile, are probably cringing right now: always the way of it…

These are £54.99 from here.

They were clearly inspired by Miu Miu… but anyway, they tried to make it different – the straps are different, the pattern… and it’s a peep toe…

I think I’d love them without the crystals. Nice shape, interesting pattern. The sparkles just seem to be overkill.

I could do without the crystals too, but even with them, I like the RI ones better than the Miu Miu’s — the lower platform, softer pink, and the almost-criss-cross on top make them much more elegant, I think. I like the cherries better than birds too.

I like the cheaper version. Bird-print seems odd to me. Cherry-print is cute.
