Denim wedges

Distressed denim has never really gone out of fashion for some people, but it’s been particularly popular this year, with lots and lots of ripped jeans in the store – in fact, just a couple of months ago I remember complaining on Twitter about how hard it was to find a new pair of jeans, because every single pair seemed to have giant holes in them.

Now, I’m not opposed to the odd bit of distressing on a pair of jeans, but on shoes? I’m just not so sure, although part of the problem here may be that I’ve never really been keen on denim shoes in the first place. These Ash wedges aren’t just denim, though, they’re distressed denim: what do we think of that, readers? Like it? Loathe it? Tell me!

  1. Imagine them worn with jeans, a denim shirt and a denim jacket.
I feel sick just thinking about it!

    • And you just know someone will wear them that way, too!

  2. Although I have some Ash pairs (and then, of course, I like them!), this one is not for me. Deeeefinitely not!

  3. Ugh! Terrible!

  4. absolutely hideous.
I personally believe denim should stick to pants. period.

  5. Loathe. Yuck!

  6. Um, obviously in a minority here, but I like the design of these – they would look great with a black dress. But personally I wouldn’t wear them because I don’t like the solid wedge look on me. But then I am over 30!!

  7. Not loving these… not in my personality.
