Mechante rose gold python ankle boot

Although these are described as “boots” on the Matches website, they actually occupy that strange territory halfway between boots and shoes that’s been so popular of late. With a shiny gold python print upper and peep toe, these are presumably intended as evening wear, and they’ll certainly make a change from the usual strappy or platform sandals. I have absolutely no idea what I’d wear with something like these (Matches suggest a Preen mini-dress, but the Shoeper budget doesn’t stretch quite that far, unfortunately), but I think I’d have a whole lot of fun finding out.
