There’s no place like home! There’s no place like home!

Well, you certainly won’t be in Kansas any more when you wear th… You’re already tired of the Wizard of Oz references, aren’t you? Sorry. I’ll stop now. And actually, it always seems really lazy to refer to any and all red sparkly shoes as “Dorothy Shoes” but I’m probably going to keep on doing it, because it just seems so appropriate. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.

As if the red sequined uppers (complete with bow) weren’t quite kitsch enough, Iron Fist have gone ahead and added a black and white striped heel to these shoes. They’re all about the drama, and are the kind of shoes you’re only going to want to slip into when you’re happy to be the centre of attention. Or when you’re lounging around the house in your pyjamas: your choice.

I totally agree, all red sparkly shoes are “dorothy shoes”. I actually got a pair last week in the Barratts sale for £9 http://twitpic.com/ht3no secretly always wanted a pair but unlikely I’ll ever wear them outdoors. That said I’ve already wore them around the house more than once, and felt fabulous :) xx

There is nothing wrong with calling them Dorothy shoes. Every girl that has ever seen Wizard of Oz wants them, but they lose the magic of the show if you strip them of their name. That said, I love these because they not only remind me of Dorothy, but they also have the Wicked Witch of the East’s awesome socks for heels, making them a little less innocent.

Oh, I just love these… Despite AND because they are red and sparkly and with black and white striped heels. Although I would probably pair them with my pyjamas. But I still want them.

If this shoes didn’t have the candy cane and just solid red I would like them.

oh my god I need these shoes now. I’ve drooled over many a pair of red sparkly heels but the stripy heels just seals the deal. I have no idea when or wear I’d wear them but I’d find something. These would be a pair of shoes I’d base an outfit around.
