I’ve always been of the opinion that it’s hard to go wrong with a simple red pump, although God knows, some designers try their very hardest to mess it up.
Although simple in shape, these ‘Serpent’ pumps, which are part of Christian Dior’s pre-fall 09 collection, have added interest in the form of the scalloped detail on the uppers, and faceted stiletto heels in gold:
As nice as they look in the photos, I have a feeling these are the kind of shoes that will look even better in person. Whether they’re nice enough to justify the $820 price tag, however… well, that’s up to you to decide.
